Yo, we actually did it. Like a band of brothers, we went through the pain and it brought us closer together.

TDM "4 Lyf"

Since the last post, there have been big developments that have occurred. I'll leave it up to you all to update individually. As for me, I was presented with an exciting yet worrisome proposition. As a symbol of our forever friendship, our Brother Nat suggested to me that the founders of TDM get our logo tattooed in the location of our choosing. Although my first thought was "OK, you're crazy," I've been thinking that it might not be so crazy. The brevity of life has been on my mind lately, and how this will all be over in a short time. As the writer of Ecclesiastes put it, (paraphrased) Enjoy life, since all is meaningless...but remember that you will be judged in the end for what you do on Earth. Since we're not worshiping pagan idols with markings on our skin but rather symbolizing our bond with each other through the Holy Spirit, I don't think God will bring up this act as a sign of sin. So after thinking and tossing the idea around with my wife, I'm actually pretty excited about the prospect of sharing something intimate with my Brothers. With that said, my support is not 100%, but at least I'm not rejecting the idea. Maybe I'll even get my name inscribed in Hebrew in the outer rim of the drop.

I definitely miss Miami since moving up here to NYC, but God bless technological advances for allowing us to still keep in touch, via cell, email and Halo 3. Nat, with you leave soon too, it's imperative we find new and trusted ways to keep in touch and e-hang.

New York w/ Merrill Lynch

Yoo so im finally in NY starting my internship! Man this place is crazy..It's like downtown Miami x50. Every block is full of taxis and shops and people...Lots of people..and even if its noon and the sun is shining full blast, you're always in a shadow from one of the buildings.

Everywhere you go its always a push to keep going. Everything is fast paced; even when you have no specific plans, you feel rushed and pressed on time. For ex. David and I were at Home Depot today getting some stuff for our dorm and for no apparant reason we were telling each other we gotta go and rushing to pick a plant for our rooms. (I happened to pick a pepperment herb plant to keep things lively in my room).

One thing that's been very evident to me is everyone's concern only for themselves. Everywhere I go and everyone I look at has their own agenda and mainly cares about going from their point A to point B. Like today, we saw a little boy of about 10 yrs sitting on the side of the road and crying. I noticed everyone just passing by (including myself) and not even glancing. But after constant turn arounds and my concsience eating away at me, David helped me realize that his mom was only a few feet away and he probably got scolded or something. Point is, I did not see anyone get down and even talk to the boy. Everyone just kept looking foward doing their own thing. That, in my opinion, is what plagues this city the most.

I ask that you pray for us up here because the temptation is too great to only focus on ourselves and our careers and money. I'm gonna check out a Calvery Chapel up here this Sunday after my training. I'll keep you guys posted.
